Amerind Foundation was founded in 1937 as a private, nonprofit archaeological research facility and museum of art, history, and culture of Native people from the Americas . It includes an Art Gallery , Museum Store, and picnic area.

The Amerind Foundation has committed its resources to three broad concerns: 1) the Conservation and Preservation of Material Culture, 2) Research, and 3) Education.
